※ The link above contains info about My Macy’s Holiday Parade route in 2017.
  • Distance and Travel Time (from downtown Seattle): Within 0.5 miles (2 min)
  • Trip Type: Outing
  • Parking
Parking is a challenge near the parade route unless you are lucky enough to find any public or street parking space. If you have young children, you can park at Seattle Center Parking Garage (516 Harrison St, Seattle, WA 98109) and ride the monorail to Westlake Center located near the parade route.
  • When to Go
Starts at 9 am, on the day after Thanksgiving Day (aka, Black Friday) of each year
  • Things to Do
Enjoy the 1 hour long parade and even get some free goodies like candy, chocolate or other small treats from paraders.
  • Tips
    1) Park at the Seattle Center and take the monorail to Westlake Center to save time in finding a parking space. Kiddos can enjoy the monorail ride during the round trips. Prepare some cash to pay for the monorail because they only take cash (Adults: $2.50, Youth(5-12) : $1.25 for a single trip).
    2) Take along some foldable beach chairs and a picnic blanket so the whole family will be comfortable watching the parade.
    3) The Seattle Center is a nice tourist spot where kids will enjoy playing at the play area (Artists at Play) after the parade.
    4) You can enjoy your lunch at the food court of in the Armory and have fun at the Seattle Center Winterfest after the parade. For more activities at  Seattle Center, please click here.
