Go Strollers !!

[February in Seattle] Seward Park

  • Distance and Travel Time (from downtown Seattle): 5.7 miles (15 min)
  • Trip Type: Outing
  • When to Go
Any time of year (Great park to enjoy year round but can be chilly on windy days in winter and spring)
  • Things to Do
Stroll along the trails, watch animals (ducks, geese, seagulls, etc.), throw rocks in the water from the rocky beach, play at the playground, various activities in the grassy areas (soccer, badminton, frisbees, etc.), take along a picnic blanket and relax on the grass, see seasonal blooms, ride bikes/scooters/skates, etc.
  • Tips
    1) The playground is located next to the parking lot so the kids can play there before or after strolling along the 2.4 mile (3.8km) long loop trail.
    2) Kids love to look for the mileposts along the trail – this can be good motivation to make the stroll more fun.
    3) It can get pretty chilly even on sunny days if there is wind so be sure to take along a jacket, hat and mittens.
    4) There are many warning signs for Poison Oak throughout the park so use caution.
