There is a $10 fee to visit each state park (usually accepted in cash or check) but at $30 you can get the Discover Pass which is an annual pass for all WA state parks.

Exploring the trail in the woods, enjoy the forest, throwing pebbles in the water, walking down the wooden dock, seeing the Deception Pass bridges, etc.
- Tips
1) If your family likes to ride the ferry, you can take the Mukilteo – Clinton ferry to get to the park. It takes an hour from the Clinton ferry terminal to get to the park driving through Whidbey Island.
2) Children can search for sea creatures in the water from the wooden dock in Bowman Bay. If you look closely, you can see some jellyfish and other fish swimming in the water.
