Visit the Public Market, eat yummy local food, see and shop for fresh flowers/fruit/vegetables/fish, see other local products, stroll around the Gum Wall, visit the first Starbucks store, ride the ferris wheel (Seattle Great Wheel), enjoy the flying ride (Wings over Washington), walk around downtown Seattle, see the Hammering Man at SAM (Seattle Art Museum), enjoy views of Puget Sound, etc.
Tips
1) The Gum Wall is located in the Post Alley at the entrance of the market next to the Market Theater box office.
2) There are many famous eateries inside and near the Pike Place Market but the area can get very crowded.
3) Kids and adults alike can enjoy a break at the Victor Steinbrueck Park located right next to the Pike Place Market – kids will enjoy running on the grass to burn off some energy.
4) Among the souvenirs that are sold at the first Starbucks store, the Pike Place Special Reserve (0.5 lbs bag coffee beans) which is sold only at this store can be a nice gift for any coffee lover.
5) There are many places to eat and enjoy seafood at the waterfront near the Seattle Great Wheel.
6) Tickets to Wings over Washington (aerial adventure in a flying theater) can be purchased at the Seattle Great Wheel ticket booth.
7) On the way to the Seattle Great Wheel, the kids can run around at the Waterfront Park. For underwater creature lovers, the Seattle Aquarium will make a nice place to drop by.
8) The Hammering Man is a famous art structure located outside SAM(Seattle Art Museum).
