Walk around the historic Pioneer Square district, visit Smith Tower (the oldest skyscraper in Seattle) and the historic observatory, stroll around Occidental Square, enjoy a tour of the home field of the Seattle Seahawks (National Football League) and Seattle Sounders FC (Major League Soccer), etc.
- Tips
1) If you are traveling from the north with a train lover in the family, you can enjoy a 1 hour train ride from Everett to Kings Street Station (right next to Pioneer Square) during weekdays. You can take an Amtrak Cascades train at 9:52 am at Everett Station and Empire Builder train at 4:40 pm at Kings Street station.
2) At Smith Tower, children may be offered a chance to help operate the classic elevator up to the Observatory when it is not crowded (especially during weekdays).
3) Kids and adults alike can enjoy a break at the Occidental Square (Park) with some recreational activities such as ping pong, fuse ball or bean bag toss games.
