- When to Go
Any time of year (to avoid the heat in summer and the rain in winter, spring and fall seasons are good. May is a good time.)
- Things to Do
Walk the trail and see animals, let the kids run around in the grassy area, play at the Bamboo forest play area, ride the carousel ($2 per ride), watch mini concerts and performances, face painting, etc.
- Tips
1) When the kids start to get restless from watching animals, let them run around in the grassy area with a small hill near the north side of the zoo or take them to the Bamboo Forest Reserve play area and/or Zoomazium which is a nature-inspired indoor play space for kids 8 years and younger to fire off some energy.
2) To avoid the crowd and find ample parking, go early or on a weekday (Weekends in May get very crowded and is difficult to find parking).
