1) John Day Fossil Beds National Monument consists of 3 units in eastern Oregon. There is a visitor center named ‘Thomas Condon Paleontology Center’ in Sheep Rock Unit. So it is a good way to start your journey from this unit.
2) Distance and travel time from Sheep Rock Unit to Painted Hills Unit is 43.7miles (57min) and to Clarno Unit is 77.5miles (1h 39min).
