- Tips
1) Pacific Beach can be accessed from SR 115, W Chance a La Mer NW or Pacific Blvd NW by car. There is a public restroom at the entrance to the beach on Chance a La Mer NW. You can drive and park your car onto the packed sand on the beach. All or 4 wheel drive cars are recommended but people usually help cars that get stuck in the sand.
2) It can get pretty chilly even on sunny days with high temperatures if there is wind so be sure to check the weather and take along a jacket.
3) If your family is not used to spending long hours in the car, make it an overnight trip.
